NMVCA Membership Criteria
Venture capital and private equity firms are the members of the NMVCA, not individual investment professionals. If a private equity firm joins the NMVCA, all of its investment professionals are considered members. Membership will be limited to those firms/funds that meet the following criteria at the time of their application:
- They must be a professionally managed venture firm with cumulative assets under management of $2.5M.
- New Mexico presence:
- They must be active New Mexico investors, having made at least one investment in a New Mexico company, or
- They must have an office in New Mexico.
Affiliate memberships are available to firms that have an interest in New Mexico but who only satisfy condition #1. All membership applications must be approved by the Board of Directors before a firm can become a member.
